I am 28 years old and today was the day I learned that COCSA is an actual thing. I have always thought that what I experienced in elementary school was just something that happened to me. I have struggled to understand why I let it happen if it was something I did not want to participate in and realize now that she had made me believe that everything she was doing to me was normal and what other kids did. She had also told me if I didn’t “play” with her that she would tell everyone at school.
