The summer before fifth grade, me and my brothers decided to have a sleepover in the living room. I always had the hardest time falling asleep, so I was the last one up. Or at least I thought I was. My oldest brother, who is 15 months older, came and sat by my feet. He somehow brought up his genitals, I honestly don’t remember the conversation, I just remember being uncomfortable. Then, he pulled down his pants and started touching himself. He then started touching my genitals too. I didn’t know what to do. So I just sat there. I still don’t know why. Everyday I wish I had just slept in my bed that night. Afterwards, he went back to his spot on the ground and fell asleep. I walked back to my room after he fell asleep and cried all night. I was so disgusted with myself. I felt so dirty. I couldn’t get myself to tell my mom and dad though. I stayed up all night waiting for the confidence that never came. For about a year after, this continued and progressed. I’ve never spoken about this to anybody. I don’t think anybody knows but me and him. I will never tell my parents.
