Lamento mucho lo que pasó tu amigo. Puede ser increíblemente perturbador y confuso cuando un padre cruza un límite así, y lo que le sucedió a tu amigo fue un comportamiento absolutamente inapropiado y preocupante. Muchos padres reaccionan intensamente cuando descubren que sus hijos han estado expuestos a contenido o conversaciones sexuales, a menudo por miedo, instintos protectores o su propia incomodidad con los temas de sexualidad. Los padres pueden entrar en pánico y reaccionar mal cuando sienten que la seguridad o la inocencia de su hijo están en riesgo, lo que a veces lleva a respuestas equivocadas o dañinas, incluso cuando sus intenciones provienen de una preocupación.

Sin embargo, aun entendiendo que los padres pueden tener dificultades con estas situaciones, tocar las partes privadas de un niño y amenazarlo con tal acto va más allá de la disciplina normal y se convierte en una violación sexual. Un padre nunca debe imponer contacto con las partes privadas de un niño con fines de intimidación, castigo o control, independientemente de cuán angustiado o protector se sienta. Nadie, incluidos los padres, debe tocar el área genital de un niño sin una razón clara y apropiada (por ejemplo, en el cuidado básico de un niño pequeño o en un contexto médico necesario) y, ciertamente, no para asustarlo o avergonzarlo. Cuando un padre amenaza con tocar o intenta tocar las partes privadas de un niño de manera sexual o punitiva, esto cruza límites importantes y puede considerarse abuso sexual, independientemente de la intención o el razonamiento declarados por el padre.

El hecho de que tu amiga sintiera miedo y creyera que su madre habría cumplido si no se hubiera mudado demuestra lo amenazante e inapropiada que era esta situación. El abuso sexual no requiere contacto físico para ser dañino. La amenaza, el intento o la intimidación pueden ser traumatizantes por sí mismos. La dinámica de poder entre padre e hijo hace que este comportamiento sea particularmente problemático, ya que los niños dependen de sus padres para su seguridad y cuidado.

El miedo y la angustia de tu amiga son respuestas completamente válidas a lo sucedido. No fue su culpa en absoluto. Los padres tienen muchas maneras apropiadas de hablar sobre la seguridad en línea y el comportamiento apropiado sin amenazar ni intentar violar la autonomía corporal de su hijo. Si tu amiga se siente insegura, confundida o necesita apoyo, podría ser útil animarla a hablar con otro adulto de confianza, como un consejero escolar, un maestro, un familiar o cualquier otro miembro de la familia, sobre lo sucedido. Actividad de puesta a tierra

Encuentra un lugar cómodo para sentarte. Cierra los ojos suavemente y respira profundamente un par de veces: inhala por la nariz (cuenta hasta 3), exhala por la boca (cuenta hasta 3). Ahora abre los ojos y mira a tu alrededor. Nombra lo siguiente en voz alta:

4 – cosas que puedes sentir (¿qué hay frente a ti que puedas tocar?)

2 – cosas que puedes oler
