# Hace poco descubrí un recuerdo de cuando era pequeña (unos 5 años) que me preocupa. Mi mejor amiga y yo, que teníamos la misma edad, jugábamos con muñecas en su habitación. En un momento dado, metimos las cabezas de las muñecas en nuestras partes íntimas. Recuerdo sentirme incómoda. No sé si esto se consideraría abuso sexual infantil (ASI) o si estoy exagerando. Me avergüenza este recuerdo y dudo en hablarlo con mi terapeuta. ¿Fue ASI o estoy malinterpretando lo sucedido?

Gracias por compartir este recuerdo y sus inquietudes. Puede ser difícil reflexionar sobre experiencias de la infancia que nos confunden o incomodan, y agradecemos su confianza.

Lo que describes parece una forma de exploración sexual infantil, algo bastante común. Los niños de entre 3 y 6 años suelen participar en juegos exploratorios a medida que empiezan a desarrollar curiosidad por el cuerpo y las sensaciones. Este tipo de exploración entre niños de edades similares que descubren su cuerpo sin comprender su significado sexual es normal desde el punto de vista del desarrollo, incluso si resulta incómodo recordarlo en la edad adulta.

La incomodidad que sientes ahora es completamente comprensible. Como adultos, vemos estas experiencias desde una perspectiva diferente a la de nuestra infancia. La vergüenza que sientes es una reacción común cuando recordamos experiencias de la infancia que no se ajustan a nuestra comprensión adulta del comportamiento apropiado.

Por lo que has descrito (dos niños de la misma edad participando en un juego exploratorio), esto probablemente se enmarca en el espectro de la curiosidad infantil normal, más que en el abuso.

Es importante reconocer que tus sentimientos sobre este recuerdo son válidos, independientemente de cómo se clasifique la experiencia. Sentir incomodidad durante la experiencia es significativo y vale la pena reconocerlo. Muchos adultos recuerdan la exploración de su infancia con emociones complejas, especialmente cuando los recuerdos resurgen inesperadamente.

Actividad de puesta a tierra

Encuentra un lugar cómodo para sentarte. Cierra los ojos suavemente y respira profundamente un par de veces: inhala por la nariz (cuenta hasta 3), exhala por la boca (cuenta hasta 3). Ahora abre los ojos y mira a tu alrededor. Nombra lo siguiente en voz alta:

5 – cosas que puedes ver (puedes mirar dentro de la habitación y por la ventana)

4 – cosas que puedes sentir (¿qué hay frente a ti que puedas tocar?)

3 – cosas que puedes oír

2 – cosas que puedes oler

1 – cosa que te gusta de ti mismo.

Respira hondo para terminar.

Desde donde estás sentado, busca objetos con textura o que sean bonitos o interesantes.

Sostén un objeto en la mano y concéntrate completamente en él. Observa dónde caen las sombras en algunas partes o quizás dónde se forman formas dentro del objeto. Siente lo pesado o ligero que es en la mano y cómo se siente la textura de la superficie bajo los dedos (esto también se puede hacer con una mascota, si tienes una).

Respira hondo para terminar.

Hazte las siguientes preguntas y respóndelas en voz alta:

1\. ¿Dónde estoy?

2\. ¿Qué día de la semana es hoy?

3\. ¿Qué fecha es hoy?

4\. ¿En qué mes estamos?

5\. ¿En qué año estamos?

6\. ¿Cuántos años tengo?

7\. ¿En qué estación estamos?

Coloca la palma de la mano derecha sobre el hombro izquierdo. Coloca la palma de la mano izquierda sobre el hombro derecho. Elige una frase que te fortalezca. Por ejemplo: "Soy poderoso". Di la oración en voz alta primero y da una palmadita con la mano derecha en el hombro izquierdo, luego con la mano izquierda en el hombro derecho.

Alterna las palmaditas. Da diez palmaditas en total, cinco de cada lado, repitiendo cada vez las oraciones en voz alta.

Cruza los brazos frente a ti y llévalos hacia el pecho. Con la mano derecha, sujeta el brazo izquierdo. Con la mano izquierda, sujeta el brazo derecho. Aprieta suavemente y lleva los brazos hacia adentro. Mantén la presión un rato, buscando la intensidad adecuada para ti en ese momento. Mantén la tensión y suelta. Luego, vuelve a apretar un rato y suelta. Mantén la presión un momento.
